Blackberry, plum nose with violet and pepper notes. Hints of smoked game and fresh earth. Lush black fruit flavors, rich mouthfeel and well-integrated tannins. Lingering, grippy finish loaded with layers of fruit and spice.
Pair with: Terriyaki glazed chicken skewers, butternut squash risotto, braised lamb shank, roasted pork tenderloin, or ancho chile topped ribeye.

| Growing Season Notes | An Idyllic, warm spring prompted early bud break and vine growth. But an April frost slowed development, caused some vine damage and led to decreased yields. Hot, dry weather in June and July accelerated ripening, but caused some dehydration and sunburn in the fruit. The challenging season ultimately resulted in wines of concentrated flavors, deep color and intense aromatics. |

| Growing Season Notes | 2020 was a textbook growing season. Bud break in the vineyard in mid-April with gradient temperature increases throughout the growing season. A long Fall harvest enabled the fruit to finish with both flavor and acids. Grapes ripened slowly creating a well balanced fruit forward wine. |

| Growing Season Notes | A cool wet spring delayed the start of the 2019 growing season, pushing bud break into mid-April. Summer was idyllic marked by warm days and cool nights and an abundance of sunshine. The weather was without heat spikes that can be so detrimental to the vines. These perfect conditions allowed slow sugar accumulation and excellent acid retention within the clusters. The cooler growing season set the stage for a wine with tremendous structure and silky tannins. |

| Growing Season Notes | 2018 was an exceptional growing season with bud break in mid April, and a gradual temperature increases to flower set and fruit set. The growing season was long with gradient temperatures allowing fruit to develop without extreme heat stress. Harvest began in early October and a long Indian summer assured that all fruit was ripe with nice acidity. |
